Microsoldering & Board-Level Repairs in Australind
When a fault is on the main board itself, swapping a part isn’t enough. We do microsoldering in-house at our kiosk in Treendale Shopping Centre.
What is microsoldering?
Microsoldering is repair work on a device’s main board (the logic board or motherboard), using a microscope and fine soldering tools to repair or replace tiny components and connections.
When it can help
Board-level repair can be an option when a phone, tablet or laptop has a fault that a new screen, battery or port won’t fix. For example, damage on the board after a drop or water damage, or a damaged connector on the board.
Not every board fault can be repaired. Bring your device in and we’ll check it and talk you through your options.
Before you bring it in
- Back up your data if the device still turns on. Some repairs can result in loss of data.
- If it’s been in water, turn it off and don’t charge it. Bring it in as soon as you can.
- Let us know if anyone else has already opened or repaired the device.
Covered by our 3-month warranty
Board-level repairs come with our 3-month warranty on parts and labour for the repair we carried out.
